First, a Trump rally open to all: overflow crowd; MC asked Dems and Independents to stand – about 25% did.  An hour later, moved to the Republican caucus, open only to registered Republicans. Rep Pompeo spoke for Rubio.  Then Sen Cruz spoke, gave a barnburner of a speech: religious freedom, said all the right things in the most energetic and mobilizing speech I’ve heard this year. Mr Trump spoke last – was booed, seemed to be flat and lacked the spark he’d had.
